John also worked for Sabemo, a major commercial construction contractor taken over by Transfield in the late 1980s, for approximately ten years after leaving university. John has extensive building knowledge and experience and specialises in civil and commercial structures. John became an owner and director of Shelford Constructions in 1993. John’s friendly but assertive manner enables him to achieve the best from his staff and his sub-contractors while being straightforward and honest with his clients at all times. John’s grasp of techniques, technologies and pricing in the building industry is second to none.
Adam brings a wealth of building industry experience to his role as Business Development Manager with Shelford Constructions. His experience includes seven years managing major construction projects, including broad acreage sub-divisions, multi-unit developments and urban renewal projects. Adam is also a qualified and experienced surveyor. Since working at Shelford Constructions, Adam has been an major player in building the company into one of Perth’s leading residential and commercial builders.
Silvio has had a varied work history working in both the Government sector and private industry. During that time Silvio has gained substantial experience managing projects, as well as well as the strategic, operational and financial management of enterprises. As QA/HSE Manager at Shelford Constructions, Silvio is responsible for developing and managing the company’s quality and safety systems.
Since joining Shelford Constructions in 2006, Danny has utilised his proven financial, operational and leadership skills to plan, implement and control all financial related activities for the Shelford Group. His responsibilities include accounting and financial reporting, cash flow management, strategic planning, forecasting and job costing. Working closely with Shelford Constructions' Project Management Team, Danny ensures that construction projects are delivered on time - and on budget.
When Tim finished his degree in Civil Engineering, he chose to go into contracting and joined Transfield Constructions where he worked for twenty years in estimating and project management. Tim has worked for Shelford Constructions for the past eleven years. Tim has project-managed over 70 construction projects, including multi-million dollar projects, and has been exposed to a wide variety of construction types. Tim is also a Registered Builder.
After completing a diploma in Building Design and Drafting, Michael worked in the residential and project home building sector for over five years. During this time Michael gained valuable experience drafting, estimating and scheduling. Michael joined the team at Shelford Constructions in 2007 and has applied his building knowledge to a number of successfully completed commercial construction projects. Michael’s helpful and friendly demeanour ensures exceptional communication throughout the entire building process.
Carl is an accomplished Project and Construction Manager with the proven ability to deliver both residential and commercial projects on time - and within budget - consistently. With over 30 years+ experience within the building industry, Carl has worked for some of the largest and most respected commercial construction companies in the country, and prides himself on his outstanding leadership skills, with a passion for construction and a sincere commitment to the occupational health and safety of his team.
Jeff’s career path saw him travel through the trade as a Roof Carpenter, but Jeff has also gained considerable expertise in all aspects of the industry. Jeff’s capacity to manage Shelford Constructions’ human and physical resources and contractors across a range of projects ensures that every Shelford Constructions project is completed on time - and on budget. Jeff has a no-nonsense approach to trades people and sub-contractors which results in workmanship of a consistently high standard..
Martin has extensive drafting and design experience having worked on both major State and Federal Government building projects, including schools, hospitals and armed forces workshops. He has also worked on a multitude of private commercial buildings such as multi-story apartments, shopping centres and the Perth International Airport Terminal Refurbishment Project. Martin’s major strength is his ability to draw together his drafting/design skills and his detailed understanding of structural practicalities to deliver products that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.
Daniel Haven is an accomplished draftsperson, proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Autosketch, ArchiCAD and Firstrate. Daniel has worked on a number of outstanding projects, including the redevelopment of the Broome Boulevard, Centro Warnbro and Kwinana Hub Shopping Centres. Daniel also worked closely with the Project Architects engaged on the refurbishment of the BWS liquor store chain and was responsible for the schematic design through to contract documentation and administration of eleven new Caltex Woolworths Petrol Station sites across Western Australia.
