The project involved the construction of a multi-unit (single storey) development with private amenities, alongside an operational shopping centre with high volume traffic.
The project was completed using double clay brick construction combined with suspended grid ceilings and a structural steel-framed roof. Visual impact was added to the front façade of the development via the inclusion of a large awning and shop front windows to individual units. The project included the demolition and removal of existing bitumen, storm water storage tanks and pipe work, extensive excavation and the installation of new storm water drainage, car parking bays, paved verge parking, concrete kerbing and landscaping. With a strong emphasis on safety, the project was delivered on time and on budget despite extensive traffic management being required as the development was located adjacent to an operational shopping centre with high volume pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
