Facility Overview
The scope of the works is design and construction of JTW Auto Parts car dismantling facility located at 18 Scandium Way, East Rockingham WA onto 24,870m2 of land area. The building floor area is over 3,135m2 inclusive of 300m2 office and 361m2 of a purpose-built vehicle dismantling building which is detached from the main warehouse which stores thousands of vehicle parts. The remaining external area of 21,735m2 is made up predominantly of recycled road base areas to house the faculties large number of car bodies, as well as concrete hardstands to the immediate areas outside of the warehouse and dismantling area. Parking is also facilitated for staff and visitors. The building form is on site cast concrete panels and concrete floors.
Prominent features
The purpose build dismantling facility provides a modern take on car wrecking yards which is designed and built to cater for environmental controls to capture all waste materials from vehicle dismantling processes, as well as providing a visually aesthetically designed and built wrecking yard.

Challenging program timing with the combination of design and construction parameters, Shelford successfully completed the project and handed over on time.
